Wavegate Corporation Appoints Jeff Cambra as Chief Executive Officer

Lake Charles, LA — January 14, 2026 — Wavegate Corporation today announced that Jeff Cambra has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 14, 2026. Mr. Cambra brings more than 28 years of senior leadership experience across medical devices, combination products, and biopharmaceuticals, with a proven track record of building organizations, scaling operations, advancing regulatory programs, and driving global commercialization.

Wavegate Corporation is developing next-generation spinal cord stimulation technologies designed to deliver more precise, adaptive, and patient-specific neuromodulation therapies. Mr. Cambra’s appointment reflects the company’s transition into its next phase of growth, as it advances its platform toward clinical validation, regulatory engagement, and eventual commercialization.

Mr. Cambra most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of SpinaFX, an early-stage medical device company focused on minimally invasive, image-guided therapies for back pain. During his tenure, he led the company through multiple stages of growth, raised more than CAD $29 million in financing, established ISO 13485 and MDSAP certifications, advanced regulatory pathways across North America and Europe, and built a high-performing, cross-functional leadership team.

Prior to SpinaFX, Mr. Cambra held senior leadership roles at some of the world’s largest and most respected healthcare companies. At Zimmer Biomet, he served as Vice President of the Global Reconstruction Business, overseeing portfolio strategy, global marketing, and P&L performance for a multibillion-dollar franchise. Earlier, at Medtronic, he spent more than a decade in progressively senior roles, including Vice President and General Manager of the Pain Therapies business, where he led a $400 million global operation, delivered sustained growth, executed new product launches, and developed long-range strategic plans across interventional and neuromodulation therapies. His earlier career includes leadership positions at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, spanning marketing, alliance management, sales leadership, and commercial strategy.

“Jeff’s depth of experience in neuromodulation, interventional pain, and complex medical device commercialization makes him exceptionally well suited to lead Wavegate at this pivotal moment,” said Erich W. Wolf II, MD, PhD, Founder and President of Wavegate Corporation. “He has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to translate innovative technology into scalable, regulated, and commercially successful platforms. We are confident his leadership will accelerate our mission and strengthen Wavegate’s long-term value creation.”

“I am excited to join Wavegate at such an important stage in its evolution,” said Jeff Cambra. “The company’s technology platform represents a meaningful advance in spinal cord stimulation, with the potential to materially improve patient outcomes while reshaping how neuromodulation therapies are delivered. I look forward to working with the team, Board, and stakeholders to advance the company’s clinical, regulatory, and commercialization objectives.”

Mr. Cambra holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from California State University, Hayward, and has completed extensive executive and leadership training through the Stanford Leadership Program.
