King Lee

Board Advisor

King currently serves as Managing Partner of Biomedical Innovation Partners, LLC, an executive management consulting company.  Over the past thirty-five years he has worked with both public and private companies serving as CEO, Board Chair, Committee Chair, Director or as an Advisor assisting companies restructure and/or reposition for their next stage of growth.  Historically he has worked across a number of industries (Communications, consumer goods, healthcare, computer technology) at the request of investors and board of directors.

He served as CEO of Good Technology, a cybersecurity company targeting mobile devices, from 2010 to the end of 2013 and Executive Chairman until May of 2014.  When he took over operations, the company was close to bankruptcy.  During his tenure, he moved Good from a consumer-focused company close to bankruptcy to a successful enterprise company whose customer base included the largest global corporations, banking institutions and healthcare organizations.  This also included Governments both domestic and foreign.  The sales increased from a $17m annual run rate to $190m ARR and the company’s market cap increased to approximately $1.5b.

He also served as CEO/ President of Quarterdeck Corporation (NASDAQ:QDEK), a leading developer of PC utility software.  Mr. Lee successfully led the restructuring of Quarterdeck's worldwide operations, increasing the company's market cap from approximately $50m to over $800m.  He returned again to successfully lead another restructuring and the successful sale of the company to Symantec (NASDAQ:SYMC).

During the same period, he served as the CEO of Wynd Communications, a pioneer in wireless email with a focus on the healthcare sector.  This was sold to Purple Communication (NASDAQ:PRPL).  In previously years he served as CEO and President of the XTree Company and President of Fifth Generation Systems both publishers of PC software which were also acquired by Symantec.  He co-founded TeleDoctor, Inc. an early pioneer in telemedicine that employed a number of physicians supported by an extremely comprehensive medical database.

His earliest years were spent in the highly competitive consumer market, where he successfully held management positions with General Mills, Inc. (NYSE:GIS) and Unilever (NYSE:UL).  

He currently serves as a board advisor to HaptX Robotics and is a consultant to four other MedTech companies.  Historically, King has served on a number of public and private boards both domestic and international.  He also currently serves on the President's Advisory Board at Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo, CA.
