Glen A. Kashuba

Interim CEO

Mr. Kashuba was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Cerapedics Inc., a privately held Ortho-biologics company focused on developing and commercializing novel “peptide-enhanced” bone graft products for the $2.8B Ortho-Biologics marketplace.  Mr. Kashuba has over 36 years of experience in Medical Devices, also featuring roles as Divisional president in various device markets including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery and Cardiology.  His experience also includes Company Board of Director positions and a successful track record as a small-company Entrepreneur. 

 

Prior to his position at Cerapedics, Mr. Kashuba served as Worldwide President for Spine & Bone Healing Technologies, Inc., a division of Biomet Inc. Additionally, Mr. Kashuba concurrently served as Senior Vice President on Biomet’s Worldwide Operating Board, encompassing their Orthopedics, Spine, Trauma, Biologics, and Sports Medicine businesses.   Previously, he has held a number of Divisional president roles at Johnson & Johnson where he served as Worldwide President for Cordis Endovascular and Neurovascular and as Worldwide President for Codman Neuro Sciences and U.S. President of DePuy Spine.  



 

Mr. Kashuba’s experience leading worldwide medical device companies has provided him with extensive knowledge in key business development areas including acquisitions, worldwide licensing and product distribution agreements, primary diligence, deal structuring and equity placement, and post-merger integration planning.  In addition to his corporate roles, Mr. Kashuba concurrently managed a successful contract manufacturing business, Ortho-Craft that was acquired by Paragon Medical in 2005.  Mr. Kashuba has been active on a number of Medical Device and Venture Capital Boards, including SpineView, Palyon Medical, Veniti Medical, Cambridge Endoscopic Devices, and Extremity Medical, providing guidance in developing regulatory plans, recruiting talent, addressing operational issues and raising capital.  Mr. Kashuba has served as Entrepreneur in Residence at PTV Sciences, a leading healthcare Venture Capital firm and also serves as advisor to Baird Venture Partners, MedCap Advisors and Volcano Capital. 

 

Mr. Kashuba currently serves as an advisor to Tyber Medical, a Medical Device technology company focused on rapid product development and efficient supply chain management and Precision Spine Inc., a global Spinal implant manufacturer.

 

Mr. Kashuba has a B.S in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University.  Mr. Kashuba has completed additional course work in corporate finance including a corporate valuation program at the Harvard Business School, and specialized study programs such as Bio-engineers in Surgery at Clemson University and Bio-mechanics Skeletal System at the New Jersey Institute Technology, NJIT.
